poisonous plants

I was trying to find out if a plant is poisonous or not on the net but can't find it anywhere so just wondered if any of you lot would know or how i find out.

The plant is called Pyracantha 'soleil d'Or' the other name for it is firethorn i think.

I found Fireweed, but not Firethorn.

I used to have a Pyracantha in my garden, I have never heard of it being poisonous and it is very woody with evil sharp thorns, I doubt if any animal would eat it!
