Polar Skye - we need an update pleeeeease :)

On the other thread she said she's heading down to the yard with money in hand tomorrow - don't you dare uncross those fingers until then! :D

Oh sorry I read that thread in a hurry while I was at work, I thought it was this afternoon she was heading down with the cash :) I shall keep my fingers crossed then :D

Hi all . . . you are so sweet to be so supportive . . . I haven't updated until now because, frankly, I'm just so very disappointed :(.

It's a long and complicated story, but the upshot of it is that she is not here with me . . . I was so fricking close . . . we'd agreed a price, I'd been told I could take her, and then someone kicked off (big style) and insisted she stay where she is :(.

If anyone wants details, they should feel free to PM me . . . 'tinternet being what it is, I'd rather not say any more here.

She wasn't on the yard at all yesterday or today, but I did see her up at the top yard.

Honestly, I'm surprised by how broken-hearted I am about this . . . that little dog got completely under my skin. Hey ho.

Poor PS and poor dog, so sorry about the outcome, we have all been routing for you. I am sure in time you will find someone to rescue and love but I hope you don't keep seeing her occasionally and knowing she would have had a better life with you. That would be hard.

That's just it . . . I wasn't looking for another dog - I have two already . . . she just crept into my heart, bless her. And, yes, I will see her most days when up the yard . . . I just hope she doesn't get on the wrong side of a horse (she has no sense) or get out onto the road :(.

Ah PS it is still maybe meant to be - just stay positive and wait, you never know people change their minds and with no pressure they may do just that.
We had been to see a young Lhasa and set our hearts on him and the elderly owner after agreeing her was coming to us gave him away to a couple the evening before we were to have him. We too were heartbroken, but we didn't get cross - we just stated that if things changed to come back to us and lo and behold we had a call the next day to say the 'new' owners had returned the pup because he chased their cat. So you do never know.

Thanks . . . I've made it perfectly clear how I feel about her . . . they know I will have her . . . all I can do is wait, but I need to protect my own heart too.

We'll see.
