pole problems ...?

i own a fantastic cob - one of a kind and she has just started to jump she will jump cross country lovley stand off them and respect them - 1m with ease but put a pole infront of her and she will get under them and knock them off:S...?
we have tried placing poles, spreads, trotting/ canter poles upto the fence, and the jumps are not big about 2'6" but she still manages to get under them and knock them off.....?
Any suggestions alot potentail in this mare just lacking in show jumping...?

have you tried putting something more substantial as a filler then a pole on top- like a bruch or something, might make her respect the jump bit more, then gradually reduce the filler until, hopefully, you're back to just poles.

Have you tried having some lessons? I don't mean to be patronising, so don't take it the wrong way but it can really help to have someone experienced on the ground to see where you are going wrong.
