Well I live up the road from where this happened. They apparently were left in the mans own car not the police vehicles and they were only a few hundred yards away from the newly built kennels. When I rang the police about a dog being left in a car near a beach in Devon at 27% they rang the RSPCA who rang me and asked where I told them and they said they had no one in the area and it was not against the law to leave a dog in a car. I suppose if the dog had died (it was a Great Dane with no water) then they would prosecute. The police told me if the RSPCA couldn't get there they would attend! They didn't. It should be illegal to leave a dog or any animal in a vehicle above a certain temperature.
