Police warning - Dyfed-Powys and West mercia

There was a piece in our local paper last night saying the above forces were warning horse owners to be on guard as equine thieves had been targeting the area. It is the warning about people photographing horses and returning to steal them that circulated earlier this year. The report says there was a suspicious incident in Knighton, Powys where a horse owner found someone photographing their horse. I don't want to start the panic up that happened earlier this year, but felt I ought to draw attention to this as it does appear to be the police who are issuing the warning.

Interestingly, if you check the news and press release pages of both these forces there is no mention of it. I wonder where the local paper got it from.

The person quoted is Sian George, force spokeswoman for Dyfed Powys police. Knowing the Shropshire Star it is probably the old news they have just discovered
