Polite Hi-vis equipment

Does anyone have any of this range of hi-vis equipment from Equisafety, with the word POLITE on the back of the jacket and the blue and white hatching?

What do you think of it? Does it make motorists more careful around you?

Or do you think it is a bit cheeky?
 
My YM has an ex police jacket and people often double take and look to see if she really is from the mounted police.

In most cases it works really well and it slows cars right down, however, some people seem to enjoy the idea of annoying the police and act even worse than normal.
 
I have one and have had a brilliant response from motorists. Far better than my standard hi viz jacket.
 
I bought one from Olympia this year, bought it as a lady who was browsing the stand said she had one and it was brilliant. The lady selling them also said that most insurers will recognise them compared to other hi-viz tabards that don't meet the required standards (don't know much about this!) so I was sucked in.

Cant say I've really noticed any difference, I have to hack along a busy road with a 60mph limit to get anywhere and cars/lorries still speed past, or get too close!

I do like it though, the pockets are good and its easily adjustable for days when you are not wearing your BP.

I love mine but also mainly due to having pockets, no more stuffing phone down bra! I think people may be slowing down a bit more but hard to tell as you still get idiots. From a drivers point of view though if I see someone on a motorbike or one of the ambulance cars and I think they are the police it will make me think a bit more and check I'm not going over the speed limit. I do feel very naughty when the police have driven past me while wearing it though.
