poll/atlas out experiences

Hi so basically i have a horse that within a week to a fortnight has gone from head shaking uncomfortably generally in canter to darn right grumpy and agressive to handle and unrideable. So the osteo came out today and her atlas was out. Has anyone else had a horse become so out of character due to the atlas out?

do you have any experiences you can share of horses having pain n their poll area?

My horse banged his head when he decided to load backwards out of the trailer before he was untied! He started holding his head to one side slightly when ridden which was swiftly spotted by the physio and remedied in a quick session. His atlas was out. Once its sorted there shouldn't be any more problems but he might be stiff or sore for a few days.
