Poll: Did you have a pony as a child

I got my first pony on loan at 11. He was 12.3hh and a little monkey who taught me to have a good seat. I had him for a year, then his owners wanted him back for the riding school We then shared a 15.3hh ex racer who was so gentle and really looked after me.

After him I started riding for a lady who several ponies including a week old foal. Fell in love with the little scrap. Asked my mum if i could have her. She said yes if I bought her. I was 13 when I'd saved enough money. She was only £150 but it was a lot of money for me and mum was true to her word. I loved that pony and had her until I was 19.

Whole family rode

Got pony at 4 and had a horse ever since, now 34

I started learning to ride when I was ten. No one in my family is horsey so I didn't get to have a pony I got my horse for my 16th birthday, and 14 years later I still have him.
