Thanks to everyone who has given me some options regarding this.

We are now down to three options and I could do with your input to help me decide which one to go for!!

My original thread is linked for those of you who do not know the history!

Thanks for your help!!

We've got a couple of 'mobile' stables.
They've been put at the highest point of the land & are on 'planings'. The rubber mats are down next. They stay dry, but as I say the water drains down.
Would this be an option for you?
I'm certain there was no planning permission for these as they are officially classed as 'mobile' - only as they have a chain attached & could be moved if necessary!
You would need planings & a 'whacker' - but so long as your land would drain. Otherwise you'll just end up with boggy bedding.
Not sure the concrete is a good idea due to your issues with UU. Also no point in digging where it's already poached, as it obviously doesn't drain well enough.

either first or last option.

for mine we scraped off the top layer and put crushed hardcore down, then plainings, level and whacked it down, and put rubber matting on top. i have thick wood pellet beds and my girls are comfy warm and dry. I have a bit of a sticky issue in the shelter as the water drains to this area and i'd accidently got a 'dip' in my hardcore surface. but the stables are dry and theres no squelching etc - so far anyway and touch wood they will be fine.
