Hey all

just wondering if poll guards actually work? they look really flimsy, and don't look like much protection. :o
Ollie is currently going spastic in his stable when his mate is returned to the stable, he is doing mini rears and bucks in his stable.. to the point where he has smacked his light in the stable and moved it lol.
I hate to say it but my gelding hasn't got a clue where his arse is let alone his nose. So I do have very little hope in finding something to protect him, pondering stealing a few rolls of bubble wrap from work to wrap him up in.

thanks in advance
Chelle and Ollie xx

I used to thread a sheepskin noseband cover onto the headpiece instead of buying a special one. Seemed to work really well

I bought a leather one for my horse for loading who had decided to start running out backwards at speed whilst cracking his head on the roof. It cost but is really well made and padded. It has holes for his ears and attaches to his headcollar. I cant see the neoprene ones doing much to be honest.
