Pollen allergy head shaking

Hello,
Looking for some advice on what can potentially help a pollen allergy head shaker. Not confirmed yet but vet suspects this may be the case, I've ordered a nose net to try for now and going to try a micklem bridle.
Is there anything I can add to feed to help with the potential allergies? Would a fly mask with a nose during turnout help?

I have a ton of anti histamines I bought for my greatly missed hay fever suffering laminitic - if you are at all interested I can bung them your way, she won't be needing them where she is and I only get through one a day :(
 
I have a pollen headshaker. She is also sensitive to sunlight and that kicks her off. She’s not hugely bad, I’d say she was more on the mild side compared to some horses, but she can get a lot worse out hacking in the summer. I was only thinking the other day that I need to put her nose net on.

Her sunlight headshaking is worse in the school.
 
Mine is affected by pollen. She gets turmeric (as an anti-inflammatory) and have used equine america polleneze in the past but I am now using Hilton Herbs Shake (seems to be working better).

She is also turned out at night and I briefly soak her hay to minimise dust.

Have you tried antihistamines? It’s pretty obvious quickly if they work or not. Mine was on Loretadine at a dose of 10mg per 100kg so 6 tablets. You can buy 180 tablets for around £7 online.

I gave her a quick lunge in a headcollar today to see what she did and she went quite nicely head was very settled. Is that normal of head shaking that it's worse when asking for contact? Contact definitely seems to be what's causing the ' headshaking' in mine

Thank you for the very kind offer, I'm going to have more of a look into it all and see if I think she needs any as I'm still not totally sure if pollens the issue so ill leave it for now but thank you xx

have teeth/physio/saddle been checked recently? My mare is bad with pollen whether ridden or lunging and on the buckle or on the bit. The fact yours tosses when asking for a contact makes me think more of a pain response??

Teeth were done Thursday and physios coming Monday who's also a qualified saddle fitter, so glad I've still managed to arrange to get it all checked with everything going on. Not ruling anything out at all yet, the vet mentioned pollen allergy/headshaking and as I know nothing about it i thought I'd better fid out more ?
 
I ride my horse in a Cashel mask which is specifically designed to help horses who have head shaking syndrome. It covers the ears, eyes and nose - the fabric is black but light and comfortable for them to wear. You may find that helpful.
 
My pony has suffered with a pollen allergy the last 2 years. This year I tried nostrilvet and have had reallygood results. I use it twice a day and you just squirt the powder up each nostril and it acts as a blocker so no pollens can get up there nose.
 
If it is possible, you may purchase special air purifier. It will help to clean the air and get rid of dust. I'm not sure if you need an industrial one or an ordinary one, but you should try it. I think, you may get something like this.
