Polo Is Dangerous

One of the top US patrons Skeeter Johnson was injured yesterday in a practice game. He was flown off the field, underwent brain surgery, and is in a bad shape. If you follow polo, the Johnson's mounted the Coca-Cola team in England a few years ago.

woooah! i may be seeing a few polo matches this year, always wished i could have a go (at a beginner level!) but i don't fancy brain surgery!

i hope he gets better and makes a full recovery

Unfortunately he passed away this afternoon. Very shocking - yesterday he was fine, had a practice game, wearing helmets and everything, just caught the horse infront of him heels and they went tumbling. He had a serious head injury, and multiple fractures where the horse rolled on him. It is very shocking, he is the heir to the coca cola fortune - things like that are not meant to happen to people like him!

iv always fancied a go at polo, just not much of going on around sunny old south wales as far as im aware.
This unfortunate injury still wouldnt put me off tho, i could get hit by a car tomorrow and require brain surgery, its just very unfortunate it happened during a game of polo
