Poly Pad keeps slipping back

Under my saddle there is a poly-pad and a prolite pad - the poly-pad keeps slipping back on the LHS and i can't understand why

Numpty question but could it just be that i don't have my girth tight enough?

They do slip back, you can sew girth straps on them to stop them slipping.

or get a non-slip pad? thats what i do

My one also used to slip back no matter what I tried - drove me nuts. I ended up telling Polypads and they happily swopped it (it had been brand new) for a Pod instead (the 1/2 pad one) which is excellent and never moves.

I put girth loops and front loops like a standard numnah on mine - which is the half filled saddle cloth type so it is only thick and padded under the saddle area not down the sides of the horse - to stop it slipping under the saddle.

Love it now, in fact, I am going to have to buy another one as this one is looking a bit worn as I use it all the time (and yes I do wash it regularly

).

Check your saddle is balanced? mine started doing that and it was because my saddle needed re-flocking at the back. It doesnt do it anymore! Just a thought....

I sewed girth straps on mine and that stopped it
