Has anyone heard of this in horses? I tried to breed with my mare last year, the 1st time the vet checked her out, everything was supposed to be ok with a nice egg ready and waiting, however, after being served, then re-checked, her one ovary had swollen to the size of a grapefruit and no baby!
My Partner has suffered with this, so knows all about the ins and outs of the human version and this sounds similar.
My mare has never been mareish, just a constant attitude to life! The only time i know she's in season is when i groom her and find sticky legs! I would love her to have a foal, but am worried about this ovary flaring up during pregnancy and losing both mother and baby!

Any thoughts will be appreciated.
