Anyone use one? What do you think of them?

Have my finger on the order button lol, just wanted opinions as it's come up quite expensive with shipping and everything.

Thanks

i like them, they never move on my pons, they wash like new and dry really quickly and show no signs of wear and tear,no fiddley loops either.buy.

I dont like them. Always slip with my CC saddle, and close the gap between the gullet and his spine. Were Ok on my old K2 jump saddle, but have sold mine off now as they annoyed me too much!!

Daughters got 2(1 poly,1imitation poly) but don't like them.If saddle fits always feel its like stuffing a padded shirt into a tight waistband!!

Hmmm thanks for the replies. My saddle is new and fits well so think will give up on the polypad idea for now. Will try and borrow my friends as think she still has the old one. Was interested in them as used on on the NF gelding I broke in years ago who was cold backed. It really worked wonders for him.

I use a half sheepskin saddle cloth on Star with a prolite gelpad on top of that and she is cold backed. It was the thinnest combination I could find whilst still giving her protection. Also virtually nothing between my leg and the horse which would defeat the object a bit as I have a monoflap!

I like them as they wash and wear well. Only ever have used the single ones so don't find them that thick. I also have a performer one I think its called which has pad for the saddle area then a thinner bit for the rest lined in towelling.

I hate them too. 90% of them slip and often people seem to think they can get a thicker polypad without changing the fit of the saddle

We have the hugest thick one at work for a cold-backed horse and he loathes it. You have to do the girth up really tight (which he hates) and when you mount the pad deflates and leaves you with literally about an inch plus of air between the girth and the horse. We've stopped using that and gone back to just a single-thickness poly and he's SO much better! Darned thing still slips though!

my saddler hates them as she says the single seam at the top causes more rubbing than the double thick seams on most numnahs etc. However Ive got one I use, along with those navajo polo pads when I use my saddles on other peoples horses just as a short term fitting solution.

I love my polypads and have never had a problem with them slipping. My horse is comfortable but does get a bit hot underneath it at times.

i love my polypads. i never use anything else at home. i have about 10, none of them slip and my saddles DO fit!
also worked on a top showjump yard/ riding school and EVERYTHING wore them from the lead rein ponies to the multi money showjumpers

i love poly pads!! i think if you get one in a decent colour(s) then they actually can look quite smart.

however i do find them too expensive....and i bought a second hand one for Frankie a while ago and found that it was too bulky under his saddle,so now my cat sits on it in my bedroom!

i dont find them to slip at all though.......and thats even on a horse where its not too bulky under the saddle!
