Pond fish - should I start feeding them?

My pond fish have woken up early due to the mild weather, in fact they have been drifting about near the top for a while. This morning they were all lining up for breakfast and much more active than they have been.

As we seem to be in for a week or two of milder weather can I start feeding them (the low feed stuff) or should they tough it out a bit longer?

The oldest fish has not come up yet, he is probably old and wise.

They are goldfish and we are in Surrey if that helps.

Thank you in advance.

It has been so mild that none of my fish have really gone deep down into the pond and like yours they have been very active for a while. I started feeding last week as they were milling round and am now feeding every 3 days or so.

I have just bought some food for my Koi today, shall try them on a little bit tomorrow, but I have seen that the end of March is supposed to get colder again!

That's great thank you for the replies. I did give them a little bit as they 'insisted'! I'll give them some every 3 days and keep my eye on the weather.
