So I rode Zoomy this morning. We had so much rain yesterday that the ground was very muddy and slippy. We went for a hack and I was SO careful about choosing where to do faster work and took it really easy. I have given her 4 days off since she was very slightly sore on her left side after jumping the other day (although the next morning she was fine, I am always mega-paranoid).

I fed her breakfast and turned her out. She GALLOPED away at full speed, did a handbrake turn, back end went and she fell on her arse, panicked, jumped up, galloped off again bucking and farting!!!

Why do we bother?! I swear the silly moo has no self-preservation at all. Plus, I can understand stabled horses being exuberant when turned out but she lives out ALL THE TIME! Tee-hee, never mind. I think she just likes me to get stressed out before work!! :D

just thought you should have a reply! silly zoomy, but i love that she is still so excited about the field! ferdie is now getting turned out with the big boys, and covered in bites from his rather over exhuberant playing - despite never having been turned out before he came to the UK, he's taken to it like a duck to water and decided that he would rather like to be head of the herd please, cocky git :-)

Larry does the same (all 17.1 of him!!) He stands there for a second looking shell shocked, then catches on that we are looking at him and hoons off again!
