Hello all,
My friends pony isn't moving right.
He is 16 years old. He is fine in walk and trot, happy as larry pottering along.
But in canter, his front legs are moving as expected but his bac legsk look very stiff and are not in canter, they won't come out of trot.
The pony looks very odd and is clearly not happy, ears back and visibly peed off.
The vet is coming in the morning, saddle fitter is organised for later this week. He's a well maintained pony, ie. Teeth always up to date, decent weight, fit, well looked after.
Has anyone had or known of a pony moving like this, any idea on cause?
I'd like to know possibilities as it will be me who meets with the vet tomorrow, I can at least then look a few things up and understand better what the vet says and suggests, as I will have to pass onto owner.
Thanks
