Ponies Left on land

Two Mini Shetlands have been abandoned on our XC course yesterday.. I havnt seen them as not been there in daylight, but i beleive one could be coloured.

YO is going to contact police/RSPCA today if they are not collected.

Horses on yard are not happy as they can hear/see the shetlands..

Anyway they are in the Northlincs area so if anyone knows of anymissing please can you PM me

We had 3 horses dumped near our yard before xmas.... good luck with the police/RSPCA, the police told us, unless they were out on the roads they couldnt do anything, and the RSPCA told us that if they were left without food/water for 3 weeks then they would come and take them!!!!

Well they can get out on the road, cos the xc doesnt have any gates to it.. if you know what i mean.. there is a long lane and then the road..

My main concern is if the ponies have anything wrong with them .... YO said not to go touch them or feed them etc.. just incase we catch something that we bring back to the yard.

I personally would contact either the ilph or a local regestered equine protection agency (yellow pages) I have never had a great deal of luck with the rspca when it comes to horses. An horse specific agency would be much more pro-active.
