I was sad to learn that the ponies uk summer champs which has been held at Peterborough,s EAST OF ENGLAND showground for the last 46 years is now yet another great show that has seen its last at this venue..seasons given for the move were rising rental costs and limited space as sadly the showground has been selling of areas for housing,I really used to enjoy visiting this event and people were willing to travel from all over the country to attend,the B.S.P.S summer champs are held approx one month after the ponies uk champs so it really was equestrian central.pehaps the pony club summer champs could consider using this venue as it may provide enough pace to cover there needs..I havent heard any feedback re the move to Newark perhaps some of you could let me know if the move has been a good idea or not..as the case may be??

Never been to the newark venue, but east of england provides ample space for PUK summer champs. It's purpose built, easily accessed, and a friendly showground.

Having been to both venues to compete in the Summer Champs I can say that while Newark has some good points I much prefer Peterborough, parking is much easier and there is more space there. I don't show anymore but my preference would be to return to Peterborough.

thanks for the feedback.lets hope that the pcuk champs return to p,boro in the future ...perhaps they could share the showground with either pony club champs or bsps and this would be bigger champs for all to attend
