Used to be at the mart years ago but that is closed now.
The last one I went to was at Hexham, a very sorry affair too.

I live nearby and to my knowledge there hasn't been a horse auction there, in the last few years at least. Only cattle and sheep.

York holds a horse auction, so not too far from you. I think they run monthly.
