I took my baby ( I have to stop calling her that she is 6 this year
) to do her 1st BE on Sunday at Pontispool. We have no decent unaffiliated ODE's in S. Wales, so I put her in the BE 80 (T).
I'm so pleased with her, she's the sort of horse that is always trying to please and has the most willing attitude. She is still green xc, and last time out was very wobbly into everything, walking into the water etc.
Sunday she was fab, far more forward going, we were 16 secs under the time
Dressage a little inattentive to score 36, clear SJ and clear XC, left us finishing 8th
I have to say anyone considering doing a BE 80, I was really impressed. Caroline Creighton was the BE trainer on hand. She was fantastic and she was literally there at hand if you needed her. She gave very informative course walks and tips whilst warming up in the SJ. I'm almost tempted to do another one, as having someone in a trainer capacity on the floor was really nice, made me much more confident.
Anyway, here's the link to the photos:-

PS. To give hope to anyone else with a baby
I bought this horse as a yearling, broke her myself at 4 and started jumping her about 6 mths later. She didnt have a clue about jumping, she used to trail her back legs through, try to canter through, anything but take off. Now look at her
