First up Ernie in the OI..

Dressage.. i'll gloss over this bit and just tell you that the judges comment at the bottom of the sheet was "oh dear, not your day today".
We got a 51, and i think that was only cos she was feeling sorry for me, i thought we'd get a 60.. even so, 51 was still 11 marks worse than the next worst.

BUT

Onto the SJing and XC.. only a few words will sum these two up as well, and they are, wow wow wow wow wow wow, he was awesome!!! The SJing was causing carnage, and we jumped a fab clear!!!!! On to the XC with a few 'rider frightener' fences (i thought the irish bank was scary) and again, wow, another fab clear round.. didn't go to fast, as no point! so got 11 time faults... obviously finished no where with that dressage.

Then Squeaky in the PN

Dressage.. i thought he did a pretty sweet test, yes it was green and he wobbled a bit and he shot off once, and put in a small buck in his second canter (with a squeak) but i was still pleased, he got a 34.. the one who went in before me was all over bent and forced, and got a 20. so i'll agree to dissagree with that judge...

SJing: again for some reason was causing carnage, fences falling left right and center... and Squeak gave me a FAB clear round

I did however have sheepskin cheek pieces on him, which i've found to help him sooooo much!! but i was told off for this (could swear i've seen others wearing them) and so i had to take them off for the XC

XC, he stood on his hind legs twice before he decided to leave the start box, jumped one and two fine, then napped it off towards the SJing, thankfully not crossing tracks, and eventually came back to the 3rd fence (waisting god only knows how many seconds) he then also went on to do a fab clear round, including going the straight route at the off set roll tops (19 and 20) Good Boy...

So although we had some very bad moments from both of them.. i'm pretty pleased with 2 double clears!!!

*i also came home to find a letter from the police about my car crash, saying how the other driver was sooo much to blaim, that either he has to pay a fine, or go on a driver improvement course hahahaha*

yaaay well done, two double clears - very good day out I say !

lol at that dressage comment though, you don't really need to say much more do you! whats the plan with Ernie??

you can wear cheek pieces, but they can't be more than 3cm away from the horses face, and i guess mine looked bigger

Squeaky is doing his first novice at Stockland Lovell

am now thinking it's a bad idea, as still very green.

Huge well done to all three of you.
Ernie is super, he just gets keeps getting better and better, shame about his professional clown moment....
wink.gif

As for Squeaky, you must be delighted, hes now put in a performance which you know hes capable of. Now hopefully he will have grown in confidence after todays run and take the fences on a little less greenly next time.

Yikes, does this mean im needed next monday????

Now when is it? i said next monday, but its not its the follwoing week isnt it??
Does this mean youre still trying for T?
ARGH im lost.. wanna pick me up on the way up for O??

Osberton is 6th - 7th May, traveling up on the 6th competing all on the 7th... would be able to pick you up no trouble, but i wouldn't be able to talk mum/dad in to diverting anywhere to do so

unless you're able to get to some service station on the M5 somewhere?

[ QUOTE ]
Does that mean i may have to bring the blow up bed again??
grin.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

haha, yes, but NOT that one!!! one that stays hard without the need for extra blow jobs through out the night might be better!!!
wink.gif

LMAO I wont bring the socks and tape to seal the hole then.

I may just buy a lielow (sp) can you imagine the looks at a service station somewhere on the M5 lol

Now theres an idea.... fanks hun. May just take you up on the offer.

Im not entirely sure the laugh and a grunt is a good thing. I do hope Ernie doesnt poo for England or im in for a very smelly nights sleep!!

Coolio

very exciting.

just seen results, and Ernie came 15th
grin.gif
not bad after being 36th after dressage haha (even if loads of them did w/d)... BUT, if he had done say a 41 dressage (ie 10 marks better, but still the worst in the section) i wouldn't really have been placed any higher.. strange!!

Good stuff! Points for double clear too!

I've decided against upgrading Liberty to Novice for the mo as I can't trust him to stay straight into the contact - he wiggles so much! There are so many damn skinnies round Novices that I'm not going to risk it yet. Hope all goes well with Squeaky - sounds like he needs something more to keep his mind focussed!
