has anyone else had email from someone who wants to buy a pony unseen and pay via Paypal?

Everything is telling me it's a scam, but, there isn't anything about money, other than they are happy to pay via paypal, but the usual scams ask to pay extra to cover shipping etc, and although this has all the signs, slightly broken english, unable to take/make calls, i'm surprised there isn't the usual about paying extra to cover shipping, sending certified cheques etc

anyone else had these... reassure me it is a scam & i'm not ignoring a prospective buyer....logic tells me anyone interested in buying unseen would at least phone for a chat!!

I had it too - I knew it was a scam but it was confirmed by the person themself, they had included all the other people they had emailed and one of those was Lucy Wiergsma (sp) so I knew it was defo a scam. Sadly the only interest I have had in my horse since advertising him in Horse and Hound :-(

For a start you need to look into how paypal works. They can open a dispute with paypal and if they win they can get all their money back through your paypal account.

Dont even go there. If its too good to be true it is too good to be true. Delete it.

This method is also how the car scammers work. They get the car and they also get their money back. Its a dangerous game.
