What kind of things would you want from a pony cap? Like a yard pony camp, not pony cub. So everyone out know, and with your pony. From hunting to in hand handy pony. and routines, Tuesday to Thursday

A nice groundwork session from someone with a new horsemanship vibe (someone that isnt obsessive, scary and pushy!) something like a trust exercise (scary obstacles for example)

A session with someone skilled in something like dressage or jumping that can give some tips for competitions as well as showing you how some things relate to general riding (such as opening gates and negotiating things like ditches or water in an emergency)

A first aid session with tips on things like how to recognise colic or what to do if a rider falls badly

for younger people you could label stickers up with the points of the horse and have them stick them to a pony in the right places

challenge people to put all of the important phone numbers for people (farrier, vet etc) down on a bit of paper (maybe with prizes for best decorated childrens ones) get it laminated and stick inside their tack box/on stable door/small versions for pockets etc, with most numbers now stored in mobile phones the need to remember numbers is getting rarer so in an emergency and without a mobile phone people may be stuck

trotting only gymkhana games

Long reining lessons

I'm assuming all ponies are already on the yard?

Tuesday/Wednesday -

All up and ponies fed, kids gave breakfast. Go to ponies and get ready, plaited and turned out well, tacked up etc. A 1.5hr lesson. After that, stable management for up to an hour. Lunch. Then another 1.5hr lesson. Games in the early eve, dinner etc.

Thursday, same as above in the morning. In the afternoon possibly a display to parents or competition (dressage, sj) to show what has been learnt.

That's pretty much what we used to do at my PC camps and it was great fun!

Who are you aiming these camps at? A riding school where campers will ride rc ponies or a camp where they bring their ponies? I've taught at both over the years and they were quite different..

Willow Farm in Lincs is worth a look for ideas as they do both sorts.
www.willowfarmholidays.co.uk They do a Pony Club Camp weekend in tents for local kids that sounds like what you are doing, and they do residential riding holidays for a full week too for everyone inclusing foreign kids.
