Hi all
It's been a while since I was in the pony club anas even longer since I did their camp!
I know work at a RS and they are running camps this year for their pony club and I am helping with it so just want some ideas please...
In total it will be 4 weeks worth as it goes from real littlest through bronze, silver & then those taking their gold.

Ideas so far are:

XC schooling @ local venue
Lessons to include flat & jumping- grid & courses, hacks out.
Hire a mini bus to go swimming.?
Chase me Charlie on foot
A staff against students competition - pony races.?
Gymnkhana
Stable management - brushing, plaiting, bandaging

Any more.? Maybe activities for the kids to do in the evening as well as some are staying over night.?

Talent show. Egg hunt (I know it's not Easter but they always enjoy it). Visit to a famous rider's yard. Tour of the vet hospital.

When we had PC Camp here, evening activites incded:
3 legged football.
Human gymkhana
Dance lessons
Quiz night
Bake off (no baking, but making and decorating cookies that were then baked in the camp ovens).

Evening entertainment we did were - BBQ and tug of war, obstacle course, and a 'three or more' legged on foot dressage test - include extended trot, pirouette, flying changes and rein back for added laughs...!!

Mounted games as teams, but rather than on a pony the rider is doing everything from a wheelbarrow (once over the line the "rider" jumps out and becomes the pusher for the next team member..).

Car rally... but on horseback?

I wouldn't been keen on going swimming unless there was a good "fun" pool to go to

Some good demonstrations (decent level dressage/jumping)
Maybe get a group to come and give the children and ponies a go at something different (polo, polocrosse, horseball, jousting, trec). We have done horseball sessions for pony clubs and the kids loved it.
