Pony club- insurance for a share horse.

I am looking, & hopefully going to get a share horse soon, and my parents are worried about insurance issues and the expense of it. A few years ago I rode a horse from my old riding school that my friend was sharing, and needed to take out insurance for that, but recently i've heard that if you are a member of the Pony Club (which i am), they give you insurance?? I've never heard of this before, and I have many friends who have share horses and neither of them have insurance, one of them is a member of the PC though.

I know insurance is essential, but was wondering if i will be covered by being a member of the Pony Club?

yeah in the pack you receive there is a section saying about you are insured for liability and riders too
