I was just wondering if anyone knew if members over the age of 18 have to have a different tie to those under 17? Just filling out my re-application and noticed there was another tie on there and wasn't sure if I had to get one?

Ive just had a look on the Pony Club website (www.pcuk.org) and the only tie it shows or I can see is the usual purple/silver stripe. It does state 'tie for 17 years and under'.

I always thought that members wore the same tie but obviously not!

What does the 18 yrs and older tie look like?

This is the the problem I'm not sure what it looks like to tell whether I could get away with the one I already have. I only joined the Pony Club last year so had to buy a tie then and so don't really want to buy a more expensive tie just a year later.

May have to contact the DC but just thought I'd check on here first

Ok that's good then, just thought I'd check as I didn't think I remembered seeing any different ones.

I'm not quite sure but I think that they reckon older members will prefer to wear a stock instead of the PC tie - at least that's what seems to happen in my branch.

Yes most of the people wear a stock but as far as I'm aware in my branch you're not technically allowed too. Plus I know where my tie is but I've got no clue where my stock is

Everyone in my branch wears the stripey one unless they were a stock, I don't know if we're technically allowed but I can find my shirt and stock but not my tie so decision made

There is a different tie for over 18s but you don't have to use it. If your PC is really strict and you compete at area level or nationally they might want you to wear the over 18 tie but otherwise it isn't really a problem.
