Has anyone any experience of getting a box for a group of Pony Club kids at Olympia? (A viewing box - not taking them in a horse box!)

Particularly - how much do they cost?! I saw a couple of PC Branches up in the boxes (We were in the members area) last year and I thought it would be a lovely idea to see if anyone in our London based branch might be up for it. But I need to have an idea of the cost relative to the cost of a normal ticket. I've tried the website but there is no information about ticket prices until they go on sale.

Boxes are expensive and for the best days there is a waiting list, so you have to go on one of the less popular days and queue up to move to days as the World Cup qualifier which is usually the Sunday.

Evenings are more expensive and you are expected to wear black tie - perhaps the PC tie would do for the boys?! - but afternoons don't have a dress code thankfully.

Last time I went it worked out at £150 a ticket, which included coffee and pastries on arrival and lunch. They offer various drinks packages so you have to add that on, but ours was only another £10.

I would think it would be better to block book an area at a discount and just go in normal seats. Half the time that age only want to shop, and when I treated my daughter to a box ticket I made her stay the whole time, but she was clearly itching to go shopping. This year I might buy her a normal ticket and give her the difference to spend :)

Thanks for this - I had a nasty feeling it was going to be a bit rich! I only thought of it when I spotted a couple of pony club groups up there on the friday afternoon last year. They looked very nice all decked out in their uniforms!

Not sure what area you are in but here in East Sussex there is the Olympia Express (a lovely old diesel train) which collects at various points and takes you straight to Olympia. Train and an afternoon seat at Olympia cost about £75.00PP but we all sat together as a branch and we had a whole train carriage to ourselves. It was lovely.
