Pony Club...which was/is yours? Nosey thread.

North Cotswold.....events held at the back of the kennels at Broadway......early 70's.
Main event was the 4 day rally, held up at Springhill.
This was when the majority. if not all, hacked to it, people living a long way away, were allowed to keep ponies at some stables down the road.

Ah, I used to go out with Mr Goschen's occasionally, though they were at the edge of our area. The HH took over their country when they stopped hunting. There was some connection with the Bisley and Mr Goschen's hounds when he started the pack in the mid 60s iirc :)

I'm not 'that' old :D but yes, hunted with them a few times in the early 70's when still at junior school

Syston (offshoot from Beaufort) from 1969 until about 1979 then taught for a couple of years. My Manual of Horsemanship also had line drawings and the baggy breeches. It's still in my bookcase.

Come to think of it, no Devon branches that I can see yet either :(

East Devon? Cotley? Silverton? etc, etc. No one?

All too busy having a real life obviously ;) :)

Ah no, Alyth was East Devon !

LOL Enfys!! Yes from 1955 to 1962!! We were right on the boundary between East Devon, Axe Vale and Cotley hunts.....The mother and daughter at Axe Vale that I was thinking of was Jane Kerr and her mother!! We always used to go to the Cotley Hunt 8 - 80s dance every year....!!! I guess most of the East Devon people I remember would be dead now, unless they are my age or younger!!

Cumberland farmers hunt south from 2002-2005

Cumberland farmers hunt north now but never went to anything last year as horse wouldn't load! Haven't renewed membership either Till I get new horse arriving

Doesn't seem like anyone here is in CFHN !

I was in the Staff College and Sandhurst Branch. It was great, I used to love the suicidal children's drag Hunt after Christmas - about 10% would finish mounted! Our DC was Miss Kirkpatrick and she had a Shnauzer dog called Swank :D
