Not too sure we will fit in, but I am sure I can bring them all down a peg or two !!
[/ QUOTE ] Get her to join our branch TT and I'm sure you will be fine. Yes, there are a few children there with wealthy parents and expensive ponies, but so far I've only met one that was snooty! Plus there are lots of down to earth people there too with cheap ordinary ponies. My daughter has been a member for two years now and loves it and has learnt an awful lot.
On a serious note, I think maybe it might be better to go in with a positive, open approach rather than determined to bring everybody down a peg or two!
And I'd venture to suggest that the tie incident was possibly isolated, and is not repeated at pony clubs around the uk every weekend in summer
I agree - I do think sometimes if people have a 'chip on their shoulder' they assume that people are looking down on them when they aren't really!
At the end of the day, most children can get a hell of a lot out of joining a Pony Club and it seems silly to deny them that opportunity because of worries about 'being looked down on'! Who gives a jot about what others think anyway
I joined the pony club, and was a memer for about 4 years but for 3 of those years had no transport so always had to catch a lift so never got to really make any friends as there were always different people there. I also went to two camps junior and senior and enjoyed juniour more than seniour as we didn't stay, were as at senior we stayed and people tended to go round in cliques. I think the one that I joined was one of the more snooty ones??
