Well ive got the jumping bug (after a really good jumping lesson last night) and need to know the Eventing rules for the Pony Club. Is it true you SJ after the x country? Also whats the rules on whips and spurs (ie lengths/allowed not allowed etc).

I also need a copy of the Pony Club Horse Trials 2002 test.......

I want to do a ODE at the end of August and its a PC one, hence i need this information

If all goes well then il try and catch an intro before the end of the season.

You say its a PC ODE, now I may be totally wrong, but does that not mean you have to be PC?
However, I think you'll find that its not very often that SJ comes after XC, ive only seen this at the Champs up at Sansaw, and possibly at the Area qualifers one year.
Regarding whips, info I am looking at from my PC says that they must not exceed 76cms for SJ and XC.
Regarding spurs, I know you have to either have your B test or written consent from your DC. You will be asked to present proof of this at your tack check. (At the champs we were asked for it 3 times in one day!)
More info can be found on www.pcuk.org
Hope thats of some help

If you are not a PC member competing 'open' then the spurs rule will not apply.

Whip rule can vary for indiv comps for dressage. Spurs must be shortish and blunt.

SJ usually before XC at club level.

il be doing the novice 2'9, but its open to members and non members. hence why im doing it. ive already looked on the PC website, it dosent give any information, you have to buy the rule book. and apparently it takes 21days for delivery!! im not waiting that long for it

so we think i can wear blunt spurs but havent a clue about whip lengths for dressage..............

Ah ok then! Sorry, my mistake. Ive been trawling through all my dressage tests and havnt come across that one yet, however there is another pile upstairs, which i will go and check in a second.

Not recently I havnt, my sister may have done. I love fair oke though. The pic in my avatar is from the ODE there actually. I def did SJ before XC there though

Is it the Rockbourne ODE you are doing? I was planning to do that but it depends whether we get any rain before then cos the ground up there is like concrete if its too dry. You are not allowed whips in the dressage but you are allowed spurs.
