All this recent talk of adults riding ponies has really made me long to have a little fun pony. How did I end up with a looney 16.2?!

I think we should all sell our biggies and get some littlies to ride about on. Who's with me? :D

(Unfortunately I would be a pony squisher as am 5'8" and about 11 stone. *Goes to find a pony built like a tank* :D)

I have a pony built like a tank ;)
Hes 12.2hh and could carry 2 of me without struggle!! :D

What you need is a Fjord, they are basically horse bodies on little leggies! I’m 5ft7 and weigh more then you, and he carries me no problems. He is so much fun and very versatile. :D

Yes yes YES. He is a beauty! I saw a gorgeous Fjord for sale on Horsemart... shame we don't have space at the mo...or the time...or the need. Damnit! I just spoke to my mum and she said that she actually likes ponies best too. :D

You can send me your boy aaaaanytime you like. :P

Having had my 15'2" mare for 28 years (she's now around 15'!), I am really looking forward to getting back into ponies. We're getting a couple as we're just about to start keeping the horses at home. :D My excuse is that I don't have much grazing, they're for the kids, etc. But actually I just want to go back to riding ponies and have fun again!!

Excellent idea Holly, I would certainly recommend it!

I lost my horse recently and have now downsized to this:-

I am deligthed with him, he's sweet and friendly, has lovely manners, is lively and fun without being strong or unmanagable and he lives on fresh air! What more could anyone want?

marmalade, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your horse, that pony is seriously lovely though! I hope that you continue to have a lot of fun with him. :D I think my mum and I will persevere with our big looney and maybe look to get a pony (or at least something closer to one) when we have the resources. I just long to be toddling about the countryside on a fun little pony, having great adventures! I think I always wrote myself off as being too big but I guess I could easily get away with a chunky 14.2 and I aim to lose a bit more weight anyway. :D
