I got down to the field, and there he was sparko in the field. And I mean zonked out. So what's a girl to do when it's a riding morning ? I gave up and went and had a snooze with him, felt too awful to drag him up and into a saddle. A big baby all stretched out.

Pointless post, just the true satisfaction of being around horses - God I love em !

I used to ride, and later help, at a riding school many years ago and the owner had a rule that if the horse/pony was lying down asleep they must not be disturbed, even if they were needed for the next lesson or whatever. I still stick to that rule now, I can't bear to make them get up!

It's the teeth that does it ! I reckon he was dreaming of a soft straw bed and lashings of lemonade (his favourite), a huge bucket of healthy hooves, and a six pack of polos..

I have known mine to go and lie down flat on his bed once he has seen his saddle and bridle arrive! I kid you not one bit.
