A question for you guys, a while ago there was a thread on price and making offers, how much of a drop is acceptable when the price says 'o.n.o'. i always thought it would only be about £100 but i think i remember others thinking more?

Have you tried The Sun classified? Its a screen scraper, put in your postcode and see whats nearest. Good luck with your search :)

Thank you, foudn quite a few nice ones through that and shall ring tomorrow.

I got £500 (well, £495, but what's a fiver ;) ) off my latest one, £200 off the one before that and £700 off the one before that. I made my offers attractive by offering a quick and no hassle sale, i.e 'I'll give you such and such in cash and pick him up tomorrow', none of all this faffing around trying the horse serveral times, bringing trainers and so on. There were other people interested in two of the above horses too, the one I got the most money off had been for sale a while, been out on trial once or twice so sellers were a bit desperate.

If they know you're serious and not going to mess them about they're more likely to take your offer. ;)

I would also like to add that I have not had a disapointing purchase yet!

Have Pmed you a while ago, not sure if you got it, but you are welcome to come and try him now as he is, build a sort of partnership, and go from there?
