So a frazzled evening yesterday as I watched a very calm relaxed pony continually kicking his belly. I thought at first it must be flies then I thought maybe a bite but was concerned about leaving him in case it was an early colic.
So I hung around only to watch head mate beat him up as he got himself into a corner looking for scraps of hay! Poor boy.
I decided to dive him a danilon as the kicking he got would have hurt! He ate it ok but still tummy kicking occasionally. This morning just the same. Not an emergency eating and grazing but not quite right. Hope it’s just a sting and it will ease.
Did slather his nether region in udder cream! Will reapply tonight.

Mine has being doing the same. I did have a little clean of his sheath (normally get the Willy washer lady out) and he was very happy to have me do it! However, when he also did it a few weeks ago he had a tick right up the inside of a back leg. Be careful - mine did get his leg caught in the stomach straps of his fly rug while kicking.

It’s a worry! Bless him. He’s much better tonight. No belly kicking now and happily had more udder cream applied. Phew!
