I have just been faced with a problem.
One of our ponies needs to come back from loan as he has taken to kicking when he needs to be caught.
The mum went to catch him from the field, he put his ears back, backed into her and gave her a full on kick in the leg. It wasn't just running away, throwing his legs around, it was a calculated kick. Thank goodness it wasn't one of the little boys.
We have had trouble finding loan homes for him, not because he his horrible to ride, or in any other way.
He has had a shoulder problem, and it is only since then that he has been trouble to catch. I wonder if maybe his shoulder does hurt when ridden- but he doesnt show up lame.
I don't know what to do?!
