there is a nice pony just come on the market that im giong to see .if i like him do you think its cheeky to try and knock a bit of the price i do think he is over priced but i think there maybe a good market for him .so what to do?can anyone give me some haggling tips?do all your ads with prices always sell or would you accept slightly less?

its always worth a try, if you don't try you'll never know. I think mopst people expect the price to be knocked down a bit within reason

when i sold my pony, i advertised him at 3000, but i took 2750, cos the family were so nice and they really liked my pony, and he went to a really good home.

You could try taking cash with you-it talks volumes! Agree with the others' comments though-most people put on a price expecting to be knocked down a bit.

i do that yes if i like him i intend to have cash in my pocket and i,ll be brave .we do have a really nice home waiting for the right pony so fingers crossed they like me and are willing to comprimise.thanks

yep, if he has just come on the market then you could try an offer, thing is if you like him you'll pay very near to the price.
If they get lots of phone calls then dont expect much off..
Most genuine people want a good home for they pony so make sure you let them know how nice you are and your budget was only ££££s

I would ask in the initial call if they'd be willing to take offers on the price and gauge their reaction. Please dont go and try the pony and THEN give them a crazy offer. Ive had this done to me before and I was so offended!! Especially as the pony I was selling was worth every penny and I was NOT open to offers and never implied I was!
