Well I'm toying with the idea of another Holly Baby as I'm so so pleased with this one, obviously I won't be going into this lightly hence why now in September I'm thinking of next spring.
Last time I used Laban and got Callie who you have all seen. I could use him again as Callie has come out nicely but was picked up on a couple of things at the Futurity, namely the evaluators thought her neck overline came off the shoulder a little low.
Other options are Hilkens Black Delight who I think is a bit stockier in these photos than Laban, but he does have the higher neck overline?
I also like Don Joshi however I believe he is only avalible by Frozen semen, and I think that once the mare is over 16 that it isn't advised? Its possible that I could use him as a potential husband for Callie in future...
I also picked up a leaflet for a palamino Weser-Ems pony stallion at the Futurity but I've lost it and can't remember his name to look him up more!
Now Holly is hot to ride so I do want something with a good laid back temprement, also aiming for the offspring to be no bigger than 14.2h. Conformation wise Holly has slightly upright pasterns, is slightly croup high, and has a tendancy to brace herself on the underneath of her neck. She has got a cracking jump and nice paces but not floaty when she relaxes.
