Ah this was the story thats reported on below - very sad and scary that its so near me

however there have been a lot of horse thefts and attempted horse thefts in the area by travellers and also a lot of horses abandoned tethered (especially in my area of droxford/newtown). It makes me wonder if maybe they were trying to capture/steal/tether the horse and it went tragically wrong. Either way very tragic and very sad

my hubby wants to emigrate to canada! i said no as it would take too long to take my horses with me. and i defo are not leaving them,

thats really sad but on a different issue how do you know that the thefts in your or any other area are all carried out by travellers if any? just a question thats been bugging me for a while now! they always seem to get the blame but on what proof? sorry this isnt a dig at you personally just a question! i know of some pretty dodgy people in my area who i do not trust as they would steal from you but they are NOT travellers and never have been. yet i have some very good traveller friends who would bend over backwards to help you in any way, shape or form and are well thought of.
