After 2 wonderful years, my 12 year old daughter has outgrown the pony we have had on loan and we are looking for her next one. We unfortunately have only a very low budget to buy (she was expected to keep the current mare to the end of this year when our house renovations would be finished but has taken another growth spurt!) so are looking to long term loan again or potentially lease for a couple of years.

If anyone knows of anything meeting requirements below please get in touch:

Ideally a mare (our retired lead rein companion pony/expensive field ornament is a mare and cannot share grazing with a gelding)
Ideally 13.3 - 14.3 (can't go smaller than this)
General nice all rounder to do a bit of everything at pony club and some low level BS

We are happy to consider anything that ticks those boxes be it a youngster who isn't going to make their expected height, an older pony looking to step down as they age or even one that just needs some mileage on the clock before returning to a younger child.

Would be moving to a lovely yard in Fife and we can give multiple references from current loan owner, yard owner, PC DC etc.

Thanks :)

Have a look on the west Perthshire pony club ponies to loan/buy to see if there is anything suitable.
Will do thanks.

As if hunting for a new pony wasn't stressful enough, our current loan pony owner has panicked about getting her back and responded to a pony wanted advert which means the pony is on a transporter a week on Friday to travel to the other end of the country to people she has never met before, poor thing.

And we have no replacement yet.

Try not to torture yourself about the pony leaving, she is probably going to a lovely home to have some fun. Its the drawback of going the loaning route, at West Perthshire the loan pony “pool” stayed very local on the whole and generations of youngsters “swooped” and loaned the smaller ponies until purchasing their first horse. It would be great if you could loan through local clubs, so I ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
