pony with copd...trying to keep doves out stables

anyone tried using decoy owls, hawks or crows in their stables to keep out other birds that roost in the rafters and **** all over their ponies, feathers and **** cause a problem for the pony with copd, ideas gratefully recived

Wire mesh across the span so they cannot land ? assuming there is lots of height in the stables.

You can grease the perch areas so they wont settle.

You are welcome, B and Q do all sorts of plastic mesh in the gardening area. We have some as a windbreak, it is about 6mm squares and quite rigid. You might need to support it if the span is wide between the ridges.

My OH put nets across the garage roofs to stop birds nesting and pooing on the cars, not sure what sort but it was green so maybe used for gardens?

One old wives tale I've seen (to keep crows out a lambing shed) is to hang a dead crow in the doorway - gross but seems to work
