We moved our horse and pony in August to a private place with paddock and stables. All was well for a while, although I had to fence off much of the paddock due to the amount of unpleasant stuff in the hedgerow. There was often the odd poo that was cow pat but never very many and both horses seemed well. We never did find out who was responsible. Anyway, the last month they were there they only had access to hay during the day and were in at night. Poos were fine, except that our pony became very nervous of any sudden noises. He was also terribly stressed if left alone for just a few minutes, whereas before he was ok for 20 mins and would only call occasionally. He was also projectile pooing when the cows were coming in at night in the next farm.
We have since moved them back to a yard with some company and he's been absolutely fine. No more nerves or diarrhoea. Then today I decided to go out for a ride on our horse. I haven't ridden for a couple of weeks and as soon as I produced his tack, the pony started to become upset. However, once I'd put his be nice halter on that he wears when I lead him from my horse, he settled again. We had a lovely wander round the lanes, no hassle at all. Both returned fine and were turned out for the afternoon. Yet, when we brought them in tonight, he projectile pooed again. He's eating very well, clearing everything, a good weight, alert, shiny coat and good membrane colour. He's also almost 22. The two of them have been together for 13.5 years without a night apart, so they are very close, but I am not doing anything different from normal. Any ideas why this has started?

He may need something to calm his tummy, either contact Hackup.co.uk or try a gut balancer pink powder is supposed to be good. I'd contact hack up they should have something to help
