Hello, this morning I went to get my pony in and noticed his left front knee was swollen. The worst of the swelling is on the outside. I have noticed that when he rolls he really hits his legs hard on the ground and wasn’t sure if he could have injured his work knee from this. He has no lameness and it isn’t hot, sore to touch. I have hosed it for 10 minutes twice, now bandaged for tonight and half a sachet of Bute. Has anybody got any suggestions of what it could be? Thank you :)

Robin had similar. Swollen down the outside below the knee. A little heat but no lameness. Spoke to vet and sent pictures. He had Danilon 2 twice a day for 2 days then 1 twice a day for 3 days. Cold hosed for 15 mins twice a day. It went down and I have just started riding him in walk for 20mins again. Don’t know what it was but expect he had whacked his leg.

His is on and around the outside of the knee, we bandaged it today and put an ice cream on it and it seemed to have gone down a bit, there is no heat at all and he’s showing no signs of lameness or it being sore. I guess we will just carry on what we are doing x
