George was having one of his moments tonight... he has been asleep on/in my bed all day, then suddenly he goes all coy... ‘no, no I can’t possibly jump onto the bed, I’m not allowed I’m sure....’ ??

Well if you pick him up you're duty-bound to give him a cuddle too, he's too cool to ask outright but this way he gets the cuddle and onto the bed and retains his tough terrier credibility!

He gets all embarrassed and turns his head away when I give him a kiss and a cuddle ? He is such a sweetie ?

That is so like our Hector but he occasionally gives himself away with a tail wag while he gets a cuddle! They strive so hard to maintain their tough demeanor but underneath it all, they are really soft.
