Pony's past?

Last Thursday we came home with a lovely little mare from our local mart (Llanybydder).She was taken there by a dealer, who told us she had taken her there on behalf of a friend, but no other info, she didnt even know her name. Ive looked to see if i can find a contact number for the last registered owner, but drawn a blank as it looks like they have moved. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what i could do next, id really like to know a bit more about her, in all honesty i cant understand why she was even at the mart as she seems the sort who would have sold easily privately.
This is her, shes an 8yr old (according to passport) dun (though i think buckskin?) mare, shes about 14.3, her last owners were from Tillington in Hereford. Shes got a naffy HPA passport, which doesnt give any details of her breeding, i would say she is mostly, if not all, Welsh D.

Thankyou, shes even nicer in the flesh :) & such a lovely well mannered girl as well, someone has put a lot of time & effort into her at some point.

Im not overly worried about her age, the passport seems genuine & matches her, ive also had a friend take a look at her teeth & she seems to think it all matches up. Tbh even if she was 18 i wouldnt be to worried :)
 
Possibly, i hadnt thought of that. Though the last owners were 2011 & they have moved, so a good chance it may come back as the same address as well.

Either you have the wrong passport for the horse or your horse has a poor mouth this is pretty common in TBs .
I place no faith in aging by teeth having seen when a breeding horses how wildly inaccurate it is.

But if you know the vets, and the old owners still use them your details could be passed to them.
 
Ive googled the address & did some detective work, they definitely arent there anymore. I dont see the point in writing, ill always phone, its easy to ignore a letter.
 
She's lovely.

I have a friend who had the most amazing horse, and sold him through market after having zero interest selling privately. And he was a super horse, 100% genuine in every way. It sometimes happens, especially if they want a quick sale. Because of her size, perhaps she was outgrown/child moved onto larger horses or lost interest?
