Poo Bags.....

quite possibly but even so I'm not sure that it's fair to leave poop all over private land :( haven't got a dog so perhaps i'm not qualified to comment.

Generally the land either side of a footpath is private property and should be treated as such. I pick up in public spaces but flick to edge of path in open farmland, woodland etc.

If your boys are off the path in woodland which is private then you are in the wrong.

My boys wouldn't have been off the footpath on private land obviously and it irritates me that you thought they would be.

Well I am sure loads of dogs dump on our land and it doesn't cause a problem at all. (Arable). I agree with you that it is gone in days and people get far too emotional about it. (Not that I want it on my lawn, my non dog beach or anywhere that I have to deal with it). If we had a poo bag tree on the farm I see my OH staking out and teaching the grower a lesson, but luckily we have flickers here. :-)

He's been a couple of times in the garden, so maybe a lead or a pavement thing. He needs to lose a lot of weight, so we will be going for lots of walks, slowly further afield. Will see what he does and have my bags at the ready.

Here's a pic.
