Poo in arena!

Who remembers to pick up their horses poo each time they ride?

Do you jump off in the middle of your session?

Do you go back and pick it up immediately after riding?

Do you leave it and hope someone else will clear it up for you?

Are you F****** rude B******* who leave your horses sh!t to ruin the drainage in the arena and for some other bug ger to pick up for you?!

Everyone on the yard always picks up the poo from our school. There's a wheelbarrow and skip next to it. It really pi$$ed me off at my old yard when that didn't happen.

I don't get off while I'm riding, I do it after.
 

Im with you on this one Lill!! I ALWAYS pick my horses poo up and there is one girl inparticular at our yard who always seems to ride b4 me and ALWAYS leaves her horses poo in the school. I had a few wordd with her but she STILL doesnt pick it up. So next time she leaves its for some one else to move, Im going to move it and put it out side her stable!!!
 
It depends. If the school is empty after then yes I will, if there are a few folk riding then no I wont as I do not want to be in the middle of them walking round trying to get his poop! Also if there is a lesson and I have to go home I just leave it as I dont think u can justify having to sit and wait for a lesson to finish just so u can pick up crap!
 
I always pick up after I finish, jump off and wander round with my horse following me, use it as the last bit of his cool down too. My horse always poos loads when I ride though!!
 
I have similar issue! I always seem tp pick up other poos from people who say they'll "just put horse away then come back"... hmmm. I tie my horse to side of arena and poo pick, otherwise I know I too would forget to come back. To be fair most people at our yard are very good at it (ourselves included, obviously

i have just left a poop in school this evening (first time ever), and you have reminded me, hopefully nobody will use school tonight and i can whip it out in the morning!
 
My mare almost never poos when ridden so I don't have the problem but given my OCD tendencies I would probably stop riding and pick it up!
 
I am on full livery but ALWAYS pick up my horse's poo on leaving the arena. It's just plain old good manners.
We have a teenager there that is always exercising her 3 horses in the arena, and despite 2 large signs around the arena requesting that users pick up droppings she never does. It's so lazy and utterly rude.
 
Usually remeber, occasionally don't. If I saw a big pile of poo someone else had forgotten about I'd just move it. At the moment horses get turned out in the school alot too and its rare anyone mucks out after them. Not really a epic crisis in the great scheme of the world but its amazing how many yards seem to rate making sure there's no poo in the arena above making sure all the horses have water.

it's a BIG no no to leave poo in our manege, my mare usually does one whilst she's in there so i pick it up straight after we've finished schooling.It really bugs me when you go into the school and there are poos left from the night before that have been kicked half way across the school and people havn't bothered to pick them up,wastes time out of my lesson usually,it's my biggest bug bear! Although it hasn't happened recently as i found out who kept doing it and they've now stopped leaving them for everyone else to do.He He

Yep that happens at ours too and i've given up on moaning about that.So annoying isn't it!? or am i just being extra fussy! fine line isn't there

Well we have a poo scoop thing right NEXT TO the arena gate, and next to that is a barrel to empty said scoop into.

Not hard you would think?

Am p!ssed off because on Sat evening, i was last person there and went round picking up the poo these people had left since the night before, then come down Sun (bear in mind no one else apart from them had been there inbetween) to find more poo left in the arena.

These are the same people who cannot be bothered to tidy up after themselves on the yard.

Although this has improved a bit since i mentioned it to them.

If there is poo in there tonight i will have to say something because again no one else has ridden since i rode on Sun so if it is there it is definitely them.

I find these people infuriating and extremely rude.

Maybe i should direct them to HHO, they might get some hints then and i wouldn't have to say anything!
