Poo picking in the dark

Felt like a bit of a nutter this evening doing the above in the dark! Don't get up the yard until 6.40pm so no other way of doing it otherwise.

Any fellow headtorch poo pickers out there?

yep, I try and do a bit mid week as its too depressing doing it all at the weekend! its not the dark thats a problem so much as the mud atm.

Yes, I'm a fellow headtorch user! I have no electricity at all and do everything with my headtorch on! My field backs onto woods and when I first moved there, found it really spooky looking into the woods and seeing loads of pairs of eyes staring back at me!
I've just got used to poo picking in the dark, otherwise it takes too long at the weekend.

yes ill join this club!!! although i keep taking back a wheelbarrow full of mud....even with the headtorch i cant tell the difference! and of course my horse has to poo in the ruts of the field which means i cant get the poo without taking a shovel full of mud as well!!!!!! ive started getting so annoyed im treading it into the mud now!!!! lol

LOL Yes I do it in the dark, and get very annoyed with my TB when he poos outside his field shelter and then mashes it it ..... bl**dy impossible to find all the bits grrrrrrrrrrh

My instructor who has two horses on my yard goes every night with a headtorch to poo pick! He always tells me to come find him if he's gone for too long hehe. I just poopick at the weekend.

Yes in the summer when the evenings are drawing in, I am out with a very powerful head torch, feeding, watering, picking out feet and poo picking.

ours is done twice everyday before and after work so its always dark

Roll on spring!!

A head torch can help but sometimes makes it worse as kinda blinds you lol!

if it is a bright night like last one, I can actually see the poo without a torch! I poo pick every week, just to keep the field nice for the horses. It is a pain though.

Yes I will join your gang! I hate wasting my very small amount of daylight hours I get at the moment poo picking so I do it in the dark by headlight too.

I am certain my neighbours think I am nuts!!

I regularly try to poo pick molehills. How on earth do the moles create such big hills when the ground is frozen solid? We even had them appearing through the snow!
