I know this is a strange question but I've often wondered if my horse poo's a lot lol
I poo pick twice a week and use a big double wheelbarrow and it's full to the top. I estimate 6 full normal wheelbarrows. So how much does your horse poo?

I will get back to you.... I plan to poo pick once a week but we will see.... I have just moved to a livery yard where you pick your own poo.... This is the only downside.... I hate poo picking.... iPod is a must!

I currently poo pick daily. Keeps the time spent doing it to a minimum, otherwise you can spend ages doing it. It got a bit out of hand last year and was hell catching back up!

I do however appreciate that daily is not practical for alot of people.

Its the practicality of it for me.... I am really busy with work ect so I like to spend my time with my horse and riding not poo picking. I plan to probably spend a Saturday after riding doing the task..... :o Not a dig.... justification.... :o

I poo pick everyday and must be mad as I actually quite enjoy it! I feed the horses in the field in the morning and poo pick while they are eating, then they both come over to me for a good scratch. I work indoors all day so it is nice to be outside getting some fresh air and a good way to check the horses. It's nice to be out with the horses in their field and use it as bonding time with them in their own space without any agenda such as being caught or riding them.

I get two B&Q wheelbarrows full per day in the summer and that is on 24/7 turnout.

I poo pick almost every day - it takes 10 minutes if you keep on top of it. I don't mind doing it at all - a good shavings fork and wheelbarrow and I'm away!! I can't stand the idea of horses in dirty fields. In fact in my book it comes before riding as it's basic horse welfare and pasture management.

when we had my daughters 2 ponies - gosh 14 yrs ago i poo picked every day and loved it - was my quiet time - ponies around me watching and pestering ( lol) i also love ragworting as im out there no phone horses around me peace quiet and time to think - why make it a chore - get out there and watch your horses you so learn alot by ragworting and watching :)

I poo pick every day, having two sets of horses in two fields. The 16.2 WB and 15 hh Arab produce about one big barrow per day living out 24/7.The two Welsh section D's on more limited grazing seem to produce more.Cannot work this one out as they must be eating less than the other two bigger horses.Perhaps someone has a theory.
